i had canistel for the first time this year when i went to trinidad. the seed didn't germinate when i brought it back home...it;s hella sweet and it feels like boiled egg yolk, i don't think it tastes like egg tho

I had peruvian apple cactus fruit before. I usually get it when I visit family members who are in Arizona. They have a peruvian apple cactus in their yard, and I often pick the fruit off the cactus for a snack. You are right that is similar to dragon fruit, but it's crunchier and sweeter. The birds down there love em.
